The troops are hard to see, but the quality of scenery on this battle-field is pretty clear. The town was the site of a French raid during the French-Indian War, and the white church in the back-ground was where French troops clambered up to the bell tower to shoot down on townsfolk. |

Onward to QuebecThe Biritish are marching toward Quebec with a sizable army. One of many games in our last French-Indian War campaign, the outnumbered French had only one real hope of victory: Stop the Redcoats at the river’s edge. (As it turned out, the British “won” but casualties were so heavy they would have had to turn around and go home.) |
